How are constructors’ points calculated?
Each team’s total combines the championship points earned by both of its race drivers. Grand Prix and Sprint results can both contribute. If Mercedes drivers score 25 and 18 points in one race weekend, the team adds 43 points to its constructors’ total. The same method applies to every team throughout the 2026 season.
Why does the Constructors’ Championship matter?
The title identifies the strongest overall Formula 1 team, not simply the best individual driver.
